Adamas University, Kolkata offers various courses at UG and PG levels. The admission to the courses offered by Adamas University is done on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Adamas University Admission Test (AUAT). Apart from this, the university also offers admission to the courses on the basis of national level entrance exams such as JEE Main, GATE, CAT, etc. The university also accepts admission to some courses directly on the basis of merit obtained in the qualifying exam.

The Adamas University has been established by Sachis Kiran Roy Memorial Trust (SKRMT) (under the West Bengal Act IV of 2014) passed by The West Bengal Legislature and approved by The Governor. The provisions of The Adamas University Act, 2014, have come into effect on 11th April 2014, through a notification issued by The Govt. of West Bengal on the same day.
