Swami Vivekananda University, Kolkata Overview
Swami Vivekananda University was established in the year 2019 with the approval of UGC, AICTE, and Government of West Bengal. The campus of Swami Vivekananda University is located in Barrackpore, Kolkata. The university is funded by the Regent Education and Research Foundation (RERF), a non-profit-making organization aimed at supporting high-standard technical and professional institution by facilitating research and training programs so that the students are not only qualified to address the professional challenges but also all the challenges that life has to bring with confidence.
The university was established with the aim of shaping Swami Vivekananda's educational ideas and to spread them across the world. SVU currently offers admission to both Undergraduate & Postgraduate programs in many fields such as arts, science, engineering, commerce, management, agriculture, pharmacy, public health, etc. The faculty of SVU believes that for the overall development of its students it's very important to provide both academic and practical knowledge.
The campus of Swami Vivekananda University has all the modern facilities The eco-friendly campus of SVU is spread over 12 acres of land with hi-tech technology. The entire SVU campus is linked through a streamless Wi-Fi network. And all the classrooms of SVU are fitted with comfortable seats and audiovisual support for better education. The university also provides the well-furnished library with more than 10,000 books, 5,000 titles and 100 national and international journals. The university also provides many other facilities such as seminar halls, canteen, hostels, sporting facilities, Swimming pool, Gymnasium, Multipurpose Hall, Banking Services, medical facilities, etc.
The Swami Vivekananda University also has a well-established placement cell which equips the students with relevant and conceptualized professional skills and guiding them towards a bright future and career. Under the placement cell, SVU students undergo countless training sessions, lectures, seminars, workshops etc for the successful placement. Aside from this the placement cell also coordinates with the companies for the recruitment of the students.
